As the player progresses each stage, they will find pizza boxes, which can be used to heal the player, and other pies that grant players extra strength and infinite supers for a brief period of time. The game features two different modes: standard arcade and story mode. In arcade mode, players only have a limited amount of lives, and the game must be completed in one setting. In story mode, each stage also has optional side-content, challenges.
In addition to the single-player mode, the game supports six-player online and four-player local cooperative multiplayer. Each level in story mode not only has hidden collectables and side-challenges, it also presents an entirely new element in comparison to past TMNT games: character progression. This progression is tied to individual characters and is linked to the points scored with each, furthering replayability.
But what is replayability without a game that warrants it? Punch Club. This is further reinforced by gorgeous pixel art, great graphical effects and some catchy music.

Game play is very smooth and chaotic a perfect extension of the originals much in the vain of Streets of Rage 4. Expanded move sets. Each character feels unique and fun to play. Story mode gives you un-lockables and the ability to upgrade characters very nice touch. The pixel are is damn near perfection. The soundtrack is fire as well. You can tell the developers where fans and they nailed it!
This is a must buy for turtles and beat em up fans! The online play is really smooth despite having high pings sometimes, it still plays without lag. While the nostalgic pixelated graphics look amazing as always, some smoothing options would be welcomed, but overall this game rocks!!! Great Game! Great soundtrack to groove to while laying the smack down on Shredder and his henchmen.
Great artwork as well. Beautifully designed backgrounds. Animations are top notch. Must have game. Thank you Dotemu and Tribute Games for putting this masterpiece together. Best TMNT game ever.
